Leadership Initiatives

The Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce leadership programs are designed to prepare and educate future emerging leaders in the community. The programs range from junior high school students to those in the professional workforce. See below for more information on the chamber’s leadership programs.

Leadership Crawford County

The purpose of Leadership Crawford County is to develop leaders who will share with others the leadership skills they have learned and who will assume an active role in making a difference in the community, their workplace and their family structure.  It is a program where participants become facilitative, collaborative leaders who can make their community a better place for all people to live and grow.  In six one-day sessions, class members will be introduced to 21st century leadership capacities and will become more familiar with the area.

Youth Leadership Crawford County

(September to April)

The Youth Leadership Program focuses on developing the next generation of servant leaders in our community through role model interaction and developmental activities, including: working as a team, understanding diversity, communicating effectively, resolving conflict, leading by example and providing servant leadership. The Crawford County Youth Leadership Program has expanded to include all Junior High Schools in Crawford County.
